Is the matrix real?

Are we living in it now?

If you answer no... how can you be so sure?

I presume you have proof that we are now living in the real world?

You would find it difficult to tell, of course, unless you spotted what you could take to be "glitches" in the program.
(Your car keys in the wrong place? A book gone missing that suddenly re-appears? A few minutes of lost time?
But then, could there be other explanations, simplying involving lack of attention. Or house gods... or...)

It's slightly academic, of course, because even if it were possibly true, in what way would it change your day-to-day decisions? You'd still have to make those on the data in front of you, whether that had come "naturally" or was deliberately being supplied to you.
Possibly there are different stategies to try to prove to the Great Programmers that you are a wonderful or amusing bit of programming, worth keeping around.

The Matrix assumed there were human beings in the Matrix but even that "ain't necessarily so."

Interesting question.

Is this reality real or not? Are we just a computer programme (DNA the computer language)? Is this life a computer programme that has evolved from a SIMs like game in another dimension by a race of beings billions of years more advanced than us? Are prophesies into the future just the game play, or has the game been played may times over and has left an image on the hard drive? If we perform well at this level of the game, do we progress on judgement day to the next level?

Is Life a computer simulation for developing the soul of man, who really exists in a spirit reality?

The clues are out there, you just need to open your mind.

The matrix is a hollywoodised idea of philosophy that when looked at in detail is in fact very simple and easy to understand. Descartes came up with something similar in the 1800's (the evil demon) Yes it is possible that it is real. Everything we see in terms of metaphysics, like a collection of atoms, is seen to us as objects, for example a dog. This idea is created in our heads, nowhere else. Our whole world is created in our heads. So how do we know we are seeing what we are seeing?
