In Zelda Twilight Princess, how do you get out of Lake Hylia?

I just unreleased it from the twilight, and I can't seem to get out of the dang water hole! I need to go save the guy in the town so that i can breath underwater.

go to the clown house. and he will shoot you up the top where the bridge is. it's like ten rupees. you can get to bottom from that also.

You also need that guy to get to the desert and to get to the heavens.
