You have received a lot of different answers, but the correct answer is definitely "morphological divergence". Our arm and hand bones correspond to the bones in a whale's flipper, but both have changed over time to fit environmental needs. To start the same and end up different is to diverge. Morphological just means form.

1-morphological divergence
Co-evolution is the process by which two or more species affect each others evolution. Morphological convergence is why dolphins and sharks appear somewhat similar in shape. Analogous structures perform the same function but are derived differently (butterfly wings and bird wings). Analogous structures, on the other hand, are derived from the same source, but take on different functions due to morphological divergence.

number one is right, as a previous post pointed out.
There was a common ancestor of whales and humans that had all the arm/hand bones of each, but as whales and humans diverged in evolutionary history each species adapted the bones for use in their specific niche.

1)
We have the same bones because we share a common ancestor with whales - you could replace whale's flipper with a bat's wing and the answer would be the same.
