How early did you have your first baby?

Question

I'm 33 weeks and hoping that she comes at 37 to 39 weeks. My back is aching terribly and I don't get any sleep at night. I'm worried because I hear that with a lot of women pregnant with their first, they deliver later!!

My one and only(so far) came 6 days early. Yup, that's it. I only ended up getting 6 days off of work, before she came. With the first baby you should really be hoping that it stays in as long as possible. I know it's hard not to wish that the baby would come sooner, but most generally the closer the baby is to their due date the healthier they'll be. Good Luck!

Due date 10/14 and I delivered 11/7.They were positive about my due date.Good luck.My grandfather pick my due date 1 month before.I ask him how he did it.He said he looked at the calender and it was the first night after the full moon.Since then I have ask a bunch of nurses, and they said he's right, most baby's come within a week after the full moon.Check calender for your due date see when is the first full moon.It can be two weeks before two weeks after your due date.Next full moon is Feb. 17Th.So my guess is Feb.3rd or Feb 18Th.I would be curious to no if I'm right.Could you email me when you deliver [e-mail]

Most do, I was induced at 37 weeks with both my girls due to high blood pressure. I am so glade they came when they did. I hope this one will come 3 weeks early too. My labor went really fast too. First one was 6 hours from start to finish and my second was 7 1/2 hours from start to finish. Good luck

Well that is sometimes true but happens with any number of pregnancies......
I had my first son when I was 20 years old and I went into labor at 38 weeks..... he has 6 lbs 3 oz...... They also say that your first baby is the longest as in laboring not true because I only labored for 3 1.2 hours before he was born.......

You can also speak with your doctor and see if he can induce you at 38 weeks most due if you are dialated enough... Good Luck and Congrats

I had my first at 38 weeks and 2 days. My water broke, but I never really starting contracting so I had to be hooked up to Pitocin and 25 hours later I was the mommy of a beautiful baby boy, 7 pounds 14 ounces. Good luck with your labor and delivery!

I had my son 8 weeks early. He had to be born by emergency c-section because I developed HELLP syndrome and both of our lives were at risk. 37-40 weeks is considered full term. A couple of my girlfriends just had babies and one went 5 days after her due date, one 3 weeks before, and one a week late. I think it all depends. A lot of doctors will induce you if you are over a week overdue. Good luck and hang in there!!

My first was at 38 weeks , my second was at 39 weeks, my 3rd at 37 and my 4th at 37.
I know how hard it is to wait and to feel like crap!! I hope you get to go at just the right time for both you and baby! I wouldn't wish for your baby to come too soon though.
I know, the bigger you get, the sloooower time goes by.

My doctor too told me that woman with their first baby deliver later than their due date. I was at my doctors office for my weekly checkup on my due date :( so my doctor said she would induce me after 5 days, so I decided if i was going to get induced I might as well do it sooner. So i got induced 2 days after my due date. I just have to say it is very random. I have had 5 friends who had their baby in the past year and out of that 4 had it before their due date and 1 after.

Delivered 4 days past due date and I was induced! Everyone I know was late with their first besides one who was 2 months early and baby did not make it. She was even late with the next one though. Good Luck!!

My first son was a week late - I thought he was never going to come! My second son came exactly at 38 weeks. Just hang in there and take some Tylenol if your back hurts. I had a lot of back pain with my first too.
