I have a grandmother who does the same thing and it gets old fast. So when she started in on me (at Christmas)I told her Thank you meme your prayers have been answered, Thank you so much. She was quiet stunned and left me alone for the rest of the day.

Say 'thank you, grandma. I've been doing OK so far" and smile a little. If she's worried about you there's nothing you can do. She's family and she's old so you kind of have to deal with it. Or you can say something nice like "I'm trying my best" just to get her off your back.

Don't be afraid to ask why. Also, are you close to this family member? If not, or even if you are, sit down and have a conversation with them and show them that ( and I'm not saying you are ) your not a freak or have any other wierd problems.
