For the first three years of my daughters life I stayed home with her. Now that she is in school, I am unable to do so simply because of the cost of raising a child. I do, however, work at night, and attempt to sleep in the daytime. I am still available to attend school functions, parties, etc. My Mother was a career woman, and put her career ahead of her children, and I promised myself that I would NEVER put ANYTHING above my children. It kills me, sometimes, never getting enough sleep, not having much of a social life, not getting enough daylight, etc. but it's worth it when people tell me how smart and how well adjusted and behaved my child is.

my mom is a stay at home. i dont know why some people believe that stay at home moms do nothing. my mom works all day, cleaning and cooking and just keeping the family comfortable. if stay at homes got payed, they would be the richest people in the world.
