No offence or anything but i think this is more of a stereotype. I mean in books and movies its always the poor that win. I'm not saying you cant be happy when you are poor or when you are rich but often people who are poor are stressed out about the finances and working extra jobs to pay for everything and they dont have the money to try the things they want to do or have the time.

I think so sometimes, because poor folks have to work harder for a living to support their families, which in turn the children learn to work and usually the family's that are poor will be closer to each other and have more get togethers and their thanksgivings will really mean something to them..Poor folks have a stronger bond with their family and everyday life which to me makes them richer where the rich have everything and usually no respect for anybody including their children as long as they will stay out of their hair. Hard to explain really how the poor are richer.
