If a student has had sex with a teacher, it is a violation of the law regardless of who began it. Every US state has a statutory rape law which says that an adult (18+) having sex with a minor (under 18) is rape whether the minor began it or not. Such an incident should be reported to the police and school officials. The adult should be put in jail and be registered for life as a sex offender. There should be no exceptions.

If a teacher has sex with a student, it is against the law regardless of who started it. Even if the student is over 18, he/she is still a student and therefore, cannot be touched. Teachers have gone to jail for having sex with students, and almost every day, I see on the new that a teacher has had some contact with a student.
This is wrong and the teacher should be punished. Students know exactly what they are doing and so do the teachers. However, teachers have to hold themselves to a higher standard than the students.
No matter what happens, the teacher should and will be punished. If you are thinking of it, don't!
