I exercise, as that is good for me and helps my mental state.
Also, a nice long walk is great - just take the time to enjoy your surroundings.
I clean the house to take my mind off troubling thoughts.
I watch a funny movie....one of my favorites is 'Grumpy Old Men' or 'Singing in the Rain!'
I don't know why, but those movies make me feel good!
I try a new recipe and either make a nice dinner or bake something.
I read.
Reading always transports me into another world.
I count my blessings.

I generally think about sex an maybe start feeling my balls if I've had a bad day. I switch the tv on, put a naughty video on and reach out for the tissues. It may sound crude and disgusting to mention this on here - but others would be lying if they said that this wouldn't cheer them up.

finds some flaws in you to fall in love with ... drink something flavorful you have never tasted before, if you like it a lot, remember it for future use ...
clean and/or rearrange your bedroom, this is a metaphor for the inside of your head, a change can do wonders - delight in the great ideas you came up with to make your room better ... get rid of clothing you have not worn in over a year or two - better yet, find a clothing exchange thrift shop and swap them for new stuff that grabs your fancy for that moment and day in time - ask yourself why you chose those items ...
eat something you have never had before or a type of cuisine you never cared to try again - try it again, but pick a differnet item on the menu this time, ask for a recommendation, if it's good, remember it for future use ... in other words, find what brings you delight and store them for moments like this ... i find that being down is a craving for something new, a change - otherwise you wouldn't be so down, would you?

Get clean. Dress in a favorite color. Go out into the sunshine. Remember people in my life. Connect with at least one other. Enjoy something. Laugh.

I talk myself out of it. I meditate and don't stop unti I feel better. I go driving. I clean house. Light some candles. I do something for someone else.
And if that doesn't work ... some retail therapy is in order! That works every time! ;))))
