I have days when I feel like I am strange and the only one like me. I'm a loner too. This is probably too simple for what you're talking about but I tell myself: There's enough room in this world for loners and shy people who may be thinking they're a little tilted.
Not a great affirmation, but the point is in the world being big and diverse enough to handle me too. I'm not wasting anyone's space!! And I'm fine the way I am. You might be looking for major overhauls, but I am happy with my big bunch of doggies and the country around me here. When I hear people tell me to quit being a hermit I get insecure. But it's true, I like my life. So shoot me!! @8=)

Emile Coué first used the affirmations.. “Day by Day in Every Way” and “Every Day in Many Ways”… , successfully in the 1920’s Affirmations, or as I prefer to call them, Verbal Remedies work by enacting your creative visualization. The way to write and recite your own precision affirmations is to make your statements: Positive, Present, Personal and Specific. Here are some useful resources for getting your mind around your own verbal remedies: http://www.psychic-junkie.com/verbal-remedies.html

You can look up certain authors and get some ideas--Shakti Gawain has some good one's as does Louise Hay...Since you are trying to put together a new book of affirmations you can say: All that I need comes to me easily and smoothly. I effortlessly and joyfully am led to all that I need.

I'd love to share with you some of my affirmations while driving:
"Safe to myself and all others" - I always say that after starting the engine
"At the right place, at the right time."
"Unseen by the police."
And some more:
"My home is my heart."
"The Sky is my Father, the Earth is my mother and I that is all that I need."
"I am always protected."
"Fear (anger, jealousy, etc.) is an ego-based thought form."
"Angels, come to me!"
"Everything in life is about love."
"Sending love!" (including when someone really pisses you off)
"Erase!" (after cussing someone or wishing someone harm)

(I did not go mad collecting honey)
I have not withdrawn into despair, I did not go mad in gathering honey,/I did not go mad, I did not go mad, I did not go mad. ~ Hoda Al-Namani
