Well I'm not afraid but , I'm afraid now to answer i felt i wanna quite but this made me feel weak and scared!
Hidden secrets and feelings and reaction of people makes us hide things and to close our hearts for time and sometimes its better to write down in a paper.
Most of my experiences were painful . And I'm not talking about love between two just between me and other individual , many reasons not to open my heart easily he the other person is busy or not ready to hear me or may be completely different than me.
Trust is another thing , every time i trust someone i find out he/she didn't deserve it and used this trust badly.
Authority may feel afraid to say/do something may anger the boss or parents .
Some people like to stay alone . so there is so many reasons
that all i can say .

Because it is hard time time for ego existence...because when you are in love you becomes fearless, experiencing absence of fear...and fear is a main defense (or attack) for sake of ego survival...Opening heart and love would be very destructive if you do not love yourself, do not respect yourself and looking for love and respect outside of yourself...then your openings will be trashed immediately....Same in Love relationship. First sense of opening gives sweetest euphoria then space is occupied with consciousness of your loving one. Same occur with your partner, you filled the space of opening. Then it locked again. Have you notice that lovers tend to become secluded being together? After euphoria is gone we start mutually trash space in which we are experienced love lately...Effort with which we want to run away from locked space is huge..A lot of pain...Paradoxically we do not want to unlock our hearts in order to let each other free...What a self inflicted torture....There is a solution.to avoid all of it..To untrash ourselves before we entering to relationship with World or with another human...That what some people does and afterward we call them Holy...Oh, our ignorance gladly allows us to confuse trash with treasure and vise versa...

Because I've been burned too many times before. I also don't let many people in as friends, have a lot of acquaintances, but careful with friends.

because i am mature enough to know who does or not deserve my feelings , i am not one to give my heart to just anyone or anybody .......never have been to give love to just anyone .....love is precious ..........
simple answer in my reasoning .......:-)
