I was just looking for a place in the same area. I found a great place on Craigslist. I also found a great person through century 21, they will help with renting as well as buying. Roommates.com could be helpful too if you want to move in with someone. You should also look outside DC, like in Maryland and Virginia, where you can be metro accessible but it's safer and sometimes cheaper.
