so i am looking at the tomtom 510. It has a 4inch screen (i want the bigger screen) I want to not spend over 350.00... any other good gps's with big screen and good price???

Also when it says it has pre loaded maps does that mean its not using satelite???

There's a new Magellan out that's about the same size and price as the Tom-Tom, with voice directions, and everything. Check costco if you are a member, but I have seen it other places too .

The pre-loaded means that the maps are all there on the unit. The unit then uses the sattelite to reference on those maps where you are at.
