My husband and I are trying to concive and I was wonering which tests do you think are more sensitive and could work earlier than others.
My last cycle began on Dec 22, and i'm not due for another one until the 18th of this month. I may have had some implantation bleeding this morning and feel very full in my uterus ~ can't say crampy but perhaps somewhat of an ache.
I'm not going to test today of course, but just wondered what tests might show a positive earlier than others.
Also, did any of you test before your period was due???

Last month I had thought I was pregnant as my cycle is extremly regular and a week after I ovulated I started spotting for a couple days so I assumed it was implantaion bleeding, I was also extremly lightheaded and my breasts grew a cup size. Everone thought I was pregnant so I began testing and testing and all of them came back negative, So definatly wait until your at the week of your next expected period before testing, Its hard to look at all of those negatives when your really wishing for a positive. Also the best tests out there for showing the least amount of the hormone in your urine are First response, and Clear blue. They only require 10 when the others are 25-50. Good luck with everything!!

I tested with a test my Mom (an OB-GYN nurse) "borrowed" from her clinic. I tested twice - the first time was negative, and that was 2 days after I had implantation bleeding. 5 days after that it was positive. I'm not sure when my period was due, as my cycle is all sorts of messed up, but I tested on day 32 and day 37, and I ovulated on day 18.

That false negative that I got really bummed me out for a while, even thought I knew it was probably too early to know for sure. If you can stand it, I'd wait as long as you can before testing.

I got my first + at 12dpo with Early First Response, I had gotten a Negative with the same brand at 10dpo.

I think it's important to note that most women won't get a + until the 2nd day after implantation-sometimes longer, but your hCG should double every 48 hours and most likely starts lower than most tests.

Good luck!

A few tests advertise earlier results but they'll also tell you that the accuracy of the results decreases with every day before your next expected period. Your best bet is to wait until you're at least a few days late and then try.
