I didnt get drunk on my 21st b-day. I dont think it is worth risking your marriage over, you can have a few drinks, but you dont have to get all sh*t faced...

I didn't drink on my 21st which was in October. I would talk to him and see how he feels about it. If he says ok then have fun if not then I wouldn't want to risk the marriage.

Why are you more worried about boze? Does that really define your life or does your relationship with your husband?
He stopped drinking why would you want to start, in front of him, and have a chance to lose him to a bottle?
As women like to tell men, grow up and put away the childish things.

Please don't take this personaly but how come people in relationships ask for help out side of thier relationship. I think you should ask your husband. But my 2 cents would be this, the only thing getting drunk will accomplish is bring you 1 step closer to the day you realize that getting drunk is WAY over rated. HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY, BUT MOST OF ALL BE SAFE.

Why would a married woman go out and get drunk without her husband on her birthday?
Sounds like a great way to cheat on him and blame the alcohol.

ask him what he thinks about you drinking on your birthday - actually my cousin had really bad temper while getting drunk, but after a few years he changed, now he has no problems drinking, psychologists say it has to do something with nerves.

go do something ON your birthday with just your husband so he feels like hes not left out of the celebration of your bday, then on a day shortly after go out with your friends like you want, but spend the night at a female friend's house (a friend your husband trusts). explain your feelings to him and disscuss the whole thing with him before hand. remember, communication is key.

Drink with him! If you're going to drink, stay home with him and get wild and nasty! Have fun and stay out of trouble with the law, at the same time!

Wow...the maturity level here.....
You need to reevaluate what "fun" is......if your husband is struggling with staying sober, why on God's green Earth would you consider coming home smashed???
Honestly....get a grip, you have your WHOLE FREAKING life to get toasted......and I am sure you have had alcohol before...its NO BIG DEAL!!!!
