Your 15, your mind and body are going through a LOT of changes.
Everybody looks different, and everyone will find different things atractive in different people.
The world would be boring otherwise! : )
I know it sounds cheesy, but it really is whats on the inside that counts. If you feel confident, you will act confident, and therefore feel instantly more attractive, and appear more attractive to those around you.
Sound like rubbish? Just think of all those sucessfull rock and movie stars, who, lets face it, are no supermodels, but are fancied by millions all around the world.
It's because of thier confidence.
Everybody has a special talent, whether its painting, dancing, cooking, maths, solving peoples problems, being a great friend, acting, singing, being a good runner etc etc.
Take a good look in the mirror, and being HONEST, NOT DOWN ON YOURSELF, pick out the good points you have. (AND YES, YOU DO HAVE SOME) Concentrate on them.
If you have hair thats in good condition, get a good cut and do your hair a lot more.
I do know that image can be important at your age, so why not grab a few magazines, a good friend or relative and get yourself a make over, it may boost your confidence a tad.
And remember- those that feel the need to ridicule others often only do it to put negative attention on them, rather than themselves, so people don't notice all the faults they have and are probably just as worried about.
Hope you feel better soon xx
But I do understand that

Hi dear, well my answer to your question would be simple.....I just think you are not ugly at all. First of all, you cannot be ugly because you have had a lot of admirers in your country. Boys cannot be so different in another country.... The only problem is that you just think you are not pretty and maybe only this makes you feel ugly , and the thing is when you feel good you look better, so try to ignore the stupid comments of some boys - they are just teenagers , you know, and sometimes the teenagers say opposite of what they really think(maybe in fact they think you are cool), so try to ignore them, realize that you are a pretty girl, do what you like to do and just enjoy life. And believe me, when you feel good, you will certainly look good!

Guys view here: Many girls feel like that and i do not get why, we are not all shallow. The guys who are shallow are not worth talking too. I have been told its intimidating to talk to me as i give off a big ego and confidence. So i end up having to approach girls a lot. The problem is i do not approach girls who do not show a hint of liking me. You just need to talk guys, we can be friends even if we find someone ugly. We dont not talk to someone based on there looks. Speak to the guy as a friend and over time it may bud into more.

You're not ugly! You're just going through a difficult time and if you feel bad about yourself other people pick up on it. I had to move a lot when I was a teenager and it was very difficult being the new girl. I thought I wasn't pretty too but when I look back on my pictures from then I see that actually I was.

Hey hon, cheer up. Chances are you are being too hard on yourself and you need to remember that high school can be a brutal place. You say that in your old country you had admirers...well, darling obviously they saw something in you! Different countries have different ideals of beauty...I'm not much to the average American because I'm curvy but during my travels to Europe I discovered that my curves are somthign to be proud of! If you are looking for a pick me up so that YOU feel good baout yourself try getting a new hair cut or playing your wardrobe up with some new items. If it takes more then that, talk to somebody you trust. Don't let anybody dictate how you feel honey, you're worth more then that.

If you used to have lots of admirers in your previous country, you can't be all that hideous. But the only real way to tell whether you look ugly or not is to look in the mirror.

You're a teenager, and normally teenagers feel very self-conscious. Add to that, high school kids can be horrifically mean. From your saying that you are from another country and your avatar, I'm beginning to believe that its just shortsightedness and quite possibly racism on the part of your classmates. And, be careful of the friends that like to tell you about the bad things that other people say about you. Ask your parents about getting some counseling for low self-esteem, and possibly depression. These things can really plague the teenage years.

I don't think that you should ever feel ugly because no one is ugly. I personally think that everyone is beautiful in their own way. And the person who laughed at you is either extreamly rude or just jealous. Don't ever except the facts because those aren't facts those are just lies. If you you would just look in the mirror and see how pretty you are. I hope you can figure it out!!

Sweetie, I can GUARANTEE that you are not ugly in the least. Boys at this age are cruel and stupid. Add to that how difficult it is hormonally to be a girl of thirteen and you have your problem right there.
Hang in there and remember, you are as beautiful as you feel. Talk to yourself positively! Look for the GOOD things about you rather than what you see as faults.
This feeling will pass, I promise. Just be good to yourself in the meantime! YOU DESERVE IT!

You're definitely not ugly. My friend used to get called ugly , and she had low self confidence, so she believed it. But she realized, people called her ugly because they were jealous, because she got good grades, and had alot of friends. Besides, people usually have a hard time adjusting to change. One more thing, if your friend was your friend, than she would not have told you someone thought you were hideous.
