Depends. Some people learn by doing, some others by watching or reading. It mainly depends on the individual and will be a combination of all three.

we all learn best using multisensory methods, meaning the visual, auditory, and tactile/kinesthetic neural pathways in our brains. with that said, most of us have a learning preference of how we process information the best. some of us use all three, while others rely on just one. sometimes we are weak in one and stronger in the other modality. it essentially is conditional upon how our brains are wired. i am a teacher, and i have a student that learns best by seeing, can learn great when presented with information visually, but i have another student who needs to hear and talk about the information to retain it. there are many websites devoted to the modalities of learning and how we learn best, if you want to know how you learn best, you can find information about your "learning style" which you may answer a series of questions to determine what your strength is.

We learn the most through actually experiencing things. Starts with having an attitude of wanting to learn, then allow yourself as many opportunities to experience different things as possible, then pursuing something when it catches your itnerest to learn more.

Combination of seeing, hearing, self-speaking and writing. I've been told that combining all those things is the best way to learn.

I also think we learn by example and our peers. Children are notorious for teaching other children. It's actually great to watch.

Depends on the person and their brain functioning. For example, some people read instructions and get it (they are more verbal people); while others need to be shown (they are more visual people); yet others learn from their experiences and resulting consequences while others just don't get it why they keep getting the same consequences from the same actions. So, to answer your question ---- just depends on the individual.

at younger ages. Children have an incredible memory at a young age. They can learn languages, math, science, history, pretty much anything you can think of. Of course the older you get, the harder it is for you to learn things. I recommend teaching children multiple languages at an early age.
