Hello all I have a question. I am pregnant with my 3rd and am 35.5 weeks pregnant. This morning when I went to the potty and cleaned myself there was big pieces something the looked like phlem.(sp) It was whitish. Sorry for being so graphic but not sure if this is normal never had this with my other 2. Does anyone know what this is?

Its probably your mucus plug coming out,which means labor is not far ahead,I never had it happen w/ my 1st,but I did w/ the 2nd!You could call your doctor just to check,but thats probably what it is...Good Luck!

I agree with everyone elses answer of 'mucus plug' The only thing I can caution about is is your water starts to leak at this stage, which mine did. Make sure you check with your doctor, and if you notice a sweet smell, kinda sugary, then get yourself checked out right away.
If your water leaks out, there is the chance that your baby can be born with an infection when they pass through the birth canal. It is not harmful, but it is always best if the baby arrives without any complications. Good luck!!

You'll have more cervial mucus at the end of your pregnancy. This sounds quite normal. You might have lost your mucus plug though. Not to worry.
I've got 4 kids and I lost my mucus plug with my last one several weeks before he was born. With the others, I didn't notice when I lost it.

Its called a mucus plug. It is very normal My dear you will be going into labor very soon. It comes from your cervix. You loose the plug when the cervix wants to dilate. It didn't happen to me either but my doctor told me when I see this come in to the hospital so I was always looking for it.

It's probably a piece if not all of your mucus plug. (that's really what it's called) It's usually blood tinged. It's a sign of the onset of labor. Don't sweat it, you don't need it, and it could still be weeks before baby comes.

It's your mucus plug I started losing mine at around 35 weeks too.

It sounds like your mucus plug. Don't worry, be happy because this means that you will be delivering you baby soon. Congratulations. I can't wait until I'm where you are!!

It is your mucous plug. You pass it about a week or so before giving birth.
