The earliest home pregnancy test are able to pick up if you're pregnant, about 5 days before your missed period.

Wait until after you miss your period. If you take one of those early pregnancy tests and you are pregnant, it might still read as negative (the packaging says what the accuracy rate is, I think it's something like 50% 5 days before your period, and gets better from there). I can tell you from my own personal experience that false negatives suck! I spent 5 days moping around thinking I didn't get pregnant when I actually was pregnant!

I took a test 4 days before my "missed" period--it came up positive!

Go to www.twoweekwait.com for really fun suggestions to pass the time until you can test :) Good luck!
