they can live up to 5 days. well thats how long they las anyway, i took a forensic science class and for rape kits they can find sperm up to 5 days later, even w/ out ejaculation (precum)

The answers here are all wrong even cooks. It can live for 48-72 hours and this is very few.
Cook said she was 39 weeks pregnant but her baby was only 37 weeks gestation when she delivered. Yes this is true in EVERY pregnancy that is because they count pregnancy from the first day of your last period. You can conceive in most cases 7 days from the last day of yoru period or 14 days before your next period. This two week period is counted into your total gestation period. (40) weeks. You are actually however only 38 weeks baby. So while cook was 39 weeks pregnant her baby was only 37 weeks. It did not take two weeks for sperm to meet egg. It was likely within 72 hours aka 3days

Inside the womens body, they can live for about 5-6 days but outside, in the open, they would die in about an hour.

lies lies lies! i have proof it can live up to 2 weeks!!! i gave birth at 39 weeks (3 days before my due daye) and the baby was only 37 weeks gestation. that means it took 2 weeks for the egg to meet the sperm or vice versa!
