In many large urban areas there are places that recycle things like toilets and bathtubs . A 6 gal. toilet is an old style from the 60's and 50's when water was not considered as a limited resource. Look in your yellow pages under recycling and if you have such a place nearby you will find your toilet there. I doubt that you will find a new one of that size readily available .

I've seen them at Menards for as little as $60, but it's pretty junky looking. I imagine that Home Depot and Lowe's have similar pricepoints.

6 gallon toilets are not made anymore by law.New toilets are water saving and rated at 1.8 gallons.You might find an old one at a salvage place or an old house that is being demolished.

I looked around at www.homedepot.com just now for you and the cheapest full toilet that I found was almost $300. You might have different results.
