I want to make a guitar decal for my car, but the places around here want way too much for a sticker. Is there anyway you can get decal paper or something like that and print out what you want and then cut it out? I don't have any kind of special printer or anything, but I don't want to make something that would look good.

Thanks!

I already have the drawing I want to use. I just needed to know about the photo or printer paper thing. Thanks!

If you don't wan it to look good...why bother? For quality you will need a better printer...anything that you do on your deskjet will fade within a few weeks...even if you get special paper....you would just be better paying for it...it will look good AND last

I think HP makes some sticker paper which has a white background. Look into photo paper also. Recently, I saw a company advertising that they have a sticker photo paper. If you want something with a clear background (if you have a white car), drafting supply stores (and art supply stores) have something called a "stickyback" which is an opaque sticker that you can put through a printer. The key to what you are doing though, is to make sure that you print it on a laser color printer which will offer the best protection from the elements. Good Luck.

I had a roadrunner decal made for my Hemi by a local computer graphics company. I used a photo from a magazine about high performance Mopars which was scanned then doctored on a computer then put into a decal producing machine, cost only $40. I bet there is someone in your area with this capability

The best detailed artists are tat-to-ers and will draw you up something good for cheap. They will also lead you in the right direction for making a stencil for a decal.
