Please don't be too quick to pull out of school for home schooling. My kids blame me for going the home schooling route while I thought it was saving them a lot of pain and making their lives more creative. All teenagers and people between 12 and 20 get bored, and scared, and know time is coming when they have to choose what to do for a living or to make of themselves. Take deep breaths when those panic attacks hit you. That road will only lead to medication and a life of emotional disability. Running away is NOT the answer. Face your Fears Now while you are stronger or they will RUN your LIFE. Walk into your fear and those imaginary scenarios will blow away like smoke and reality will take you in. There's room for those of us who get afraid. It's a big world. Maybe that's the problem!! Good Luck!! @8=)

Home schooling leads to the eligibility for a GED. There may be opportunities closed to you. Some of the armed forces will not accept you, some jobs reject the GED, It seems to still carry the stigma of Drop Out. Tell your father you want more of his attention.Perhaps both of you can have a father daughter day once a week. Panic attacks are severe enough where people will seek medical attention. Hyperventilation leads to the feeling of not being able to breathe, confusion, feelings of doom, and the inability to move are some of the symptoms.Try not to isolate yourself from others in school Get better soon.

It's hard to answer till you figure out what is at the root of the panic attacks. Time with your dad is really good. I'd also ask them to send me to a therapist or psychologist. Sometimes just having someone to talk to really helps, and sometimes your emotional problems are caused by something you never would have imagined in the first place!
PS your parents sound really smart and caring.

Needing your father's time and attention is so crucial. I understand, completely. I did, too. The thing is, I do not know the type of schedule your father keeps. I suggest you sit down with your parents and you tell them what you are telling us. Just be yourself. Then.......LISTEN. I wish the very best for all of you.XXX

You need to concentrate every day on helping someone else with their problems. Help someone else by giving them what they need most. This will take your focus in life off of yourself and by doing this you will start to feel much better about yourself as you give to someone else. Ask your self what you can to for someone else to make their life better and make that your goal to help them some every day. THere in lies the key to true happiness.
