Why does everyone seem to want to be "wired" these days, cycling is supposed to be an escape. Next thing will be bikers holding cell phones to their ears or wired into the helmet. ESCAPE people! Pull the plug and RIDE for Petes sake!
ps if you wanted something that isn't big and ugly looking, why did you buy a Harley? Just curious.

The i-pod (or other mp3 player) w/headphones idea is probably best, since you won't be able to hear a stereo very well over the wind noise, and most of them do look butt-ugly anyway.

Keep in mind that one of the things that keeps you alive while you ride is being able to hear horns honking and tires squealing.

I'd love to listen to music while I ride, but I usually prefer the symphony of V-twin rumble and the wind.

just get an ipod. then you don't have to tear apart a perfectly good heritage. also, when riding two up, both don't have to listen to the same thing, or you can with a headphone splitter. I won't go on a ride longer than 5 miles w/out an ipod. if you get a decent pair of 'in ear' headphones, they won't even fall out w/out a helmet on.

HD has a setup that will mount to your bars. All in one unit.
Probably not what you want, it is a big black thing sitting up there in front of you. Saw it on display when I bought my manuals.

Baron, I agree with the unwired, but the other?
It's Big and Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ugly is also in the eye of the beholder.

If you want to defile your hog why do you not just consider trading it in for a new Honda Goldwing they are very nice and have a complete stereo standard.

The best thing to have is just an Ipod and head set, being that you will be using a head set anyway to hear the music.
