Thats totally dependant on the printer you have and you didnt provide that minor detail! If you cant figure it out, mark a paper, put it in and see what side prints out!

If it is a HP printer that feeds paper from the front paper tray, usually you put the photo paper face down. That's the glossy part face down, because the printer will pull it in and curl it around.
Remove all the paper you have in there, then put your photo paper towards the right of the printer and move the little paper adjustment lever until the paper is securely held (not too tight that the printer cant pull it in).
If it is a Canon or Epson that feeds paper in from the top, then you put the glossy side facing up and similarly move the lever till the paper is held securely.

Well most printers today can detect what type of paper are inserted in Paper Slot of the Printer (unless your printer is an old version). You can also do it manually when your computer prompts and ask if manually or automatic.
The Picture Paper must be inserted in the Printer like those regular White Printing Paper (8x11).

When you're ready to print the picture first you have to click the PRINT LAYOUT at the ARCHIVE menu. When you're there you can choose by clicking what you want the layout to be.
If you look at your printer's paper holder or tray you'll see how the photo paper has to be placed. In printing photos remember: glossy side down!

If you look on your printer, there should be an icon (a little picture) that shows which way to load the paper. It should show if it goes face up or face down. On my printer, the shiney side goes face down and it goes in landscape (long ways).

What printer, what camera, what software are you using? This question can only be answered by referring to your instructions or to the manufacturers website.
