At start up, that password that comes up with the black background, how do i remove that???

If you remove the battery on the motherboard (usually a flat silver coin-shaped battery) for an extended period (24 hours or so), it may reset the CMOS to the default without a password. I know you can do this on a desktop, but I've never tried it with a laptop.

It could be that your CMOS settings have reset (possibly due to a bad CMOS battery). That password is the password to enter the BIOS of the laptop.
