If your player came with some software install it and let it scan your hard drive for music files.

Connect your player to your pc with the cable provided and use the software to transfer (sync) the music to the mp3 player.

A Shortcut: if you already know where the music files are located on your pc just open the explorer window select and copy them and then open your player using explorer, Right click and copy.

have people lost the ability to read nowadays?..

The manual will tell you.. or just plug the god damn thing in and see what happens.. The more you get used to computers, the easier this will become.

An MP4 player sounds very new, and probably not an explorer "drag and drop job". Try installing the software that came with the player.. and going from there.

The Installer will be helpful and guide you through the whole process.

Good Luck,
and READ THAT MANUAL!!!

connect it to pc**, make sure all your music/video's etc, all ready and virus scanned......, open your music/video file...
then edit/select all and copy or move to mp4 player...
**you might need to format the player first, by right clicking icon in 'my computer', select format/ fat32 and ignore quick format
