Well you could look at is a few ways, this year it is obvious that Ohio State is the better team, after all they did beat Michigan. Another way to look at it is when was the last time Michigan has won a title, 1997, Ohio State's last time was 2002. And you can also look at is this way, How many Big 10 and National Chapionships do both teams have? Well Michigan has 42 Big Ten Titles and 10 National Chapionships, and Ohio State Has 29 Big Ten Titles and 5 National Championships, So you might say Michigan has the upper hand in the history of college football, but as for right now Ohio State is the best team.

When answering this question there are many factors that go into it. First, head to head. Historically Michigan has the upper hand by 17. However in the past 5 years Ohio State is 4-1 against Michigan. National Championships, Michigan has more but they won their last one in 1997. Ohio State's last championship came in 2002. These are two of the most storied and traditional powerhouses in college football and it changes year to year as to who is the better. However overall because of Michigan's number of championships and overall win total, I would have to say historically Michigan is better. Recently though the Buckeyes are staking their claim to be no.1. Should be a great game tonight and I only have one thing to say about that. In Tressel We Trust!

If you want the better team in history.

Michigan by far.
They have the most wins in NCAA history (860).
They have the 11 National Championships and 42 Conference Championships.
They have the upper hand in the biggest rivalry in college football (57-40-6)
And they have the record for largest attendance ever(112,118)

If you look at the previous years and this year. Then you have to go with Ohio State. But in college football, a programs history says it all, and Michigan leads them all.

Ohio St. has beat Michigan for past 3 years. There's no question that Ohio St. is the better team.

Well history is what matters and as many have stated in the history of the schools it isn't close.

Michigan wins what matters most the number of national titles. Secondary would be head to head which michigan leads as well.

Ohio State has this year while Michigan has the total. Unfortunately for Michigan fans the current status won't change until Carr either revamps his staff or until he moves on.

Well since Ohio state beat Michigan in their game earlier this season I would say Ohio State but it really doesn't matter since both of those teams would lose 2 games if they played in a real conference like the SEC.

I think your question was answered when Ohio beat them this year. No opinions needed. Also Michigan didn't help their case with their convincing loss to USC.

If you are talking about history there are good arguments for both sides.
