Yeah so the other day a kid from my school killed himself. and i was wondering if you didnt know him and you are really good friends with his friends would you go to the funeral to be there for them? or do you think it would be cruel???

I probably wouldn't cause i didn't know the kid i would just call the friend before the funeral and say how u feel

It is not cruel to go. You are being supportive of his friends and I'm sure his parents would appreciate the support as well.

Funerals are not just for paying respect to the dead, but also the living. It isn't cruel if you respectfully attend.

you always go to the wake or funeral for the people who are mourning the loss. the loved one that passed is in a far better place the ones left behind have to get past the hell.

If i was in your shoes, i would go not just to assist friends but to pay my respect since you are at the same school as that person is.

If your friend ask you to go along for support there is nothing wrong with that. If however you are going just so you're not left out...well what do you think?

Most definately you would go to be there for his friends...also even though you didn't know him they will have some good things to point out and you will want to watch your friends that were close to him so they aren't following...best of luck...
my ex took his life too and when my friends surrounded me it made me feel better and I didn't want to be alone...I was so confused and angry and didn't understand
