i'm open but I believe that the ease (or not) of everyday life for mixed couple will vary a lot, based on where they live (country), and their socio-economic status.
it will be fairly easy for mixed, upper class, urban couples to live peaceful lives in most big cities especially the more liberal ones in the US, or in Europe. But if will be much tougher if the partners (and their families) live in more isolated communities, if they or their families have low education, if they don't have much money.
so, let's be open - but let's not be blind to the (sad) realities of this world, either.

I am glad that people don't marry just in there race. My mother is white and my father was colored. I am white. My dad adopted me when I three and I am proud of that. I don't think that race has anything to do with love. That and I don't think that there is anything as a true race. There has been a lot of people walking this earth and a lot of things kept in the closets. If you marry it should be for love and nothing else.

I won't even say what race that I am because due to the fact of hate mail...however, I would never ever date anyone of my own race because I have nothing in common with them. I tried to even make friends with my own race and they always judge me...I love who I am and what I have become and if they can't understand that, then so be it.
I married the man of my dreams who loves me so much and does whatever he can to make MY dreams come true...those idiots from my race should understand my happiness before they should judge me!!!

It doesn't matter. We are all the same. It only matters when people choose to marry a particular race. Those people shouldn't marry at all, if race is the primary consideration.

You're all wrong. The people that suffer in such a marriage are the chidren. If you think a mixed race child makes no difference to other kids, visit a playground.

I think sticking within the "human race" is a good idea.

I have no problem with interacial marriages. However, the odds of any marriage succeeding is tough enough without throwing those issues that will arise into the pot.
Hopefully, one day this question will not need to be asked. :)

That is so stupid. Most normal people do not believe that anymore. That went out in the 60's
