was Oliver Cromwell ever a king? and If so was he a king b4 or after the revolution. I do believe it was after the revolution. plz give me clarification. thank you

He was not a king - he was Lord Protector following the English Civil War. Under Cromwell, England was a republic and had no monarch.

Oliver Cromwell was never king,but he helped overthrow Charles I and became Lord Protector.

No. He was offered the throne but declined finding the idea of king Oliver the first risible.

He was Chief Lord Protector, if I remember correctly. Parliament being utterly corrupt at the time he helped retain a form of government which would preclude him from being a king. I think it would have clashed with his principles.

No, they called him "Lord Protector". He was anti-monarchy so no way would he have called himself "king".
