You will fins dome resorts on the way to podicherry. Even podicherry is considered to be a nice place for relaxing but I haven not been there

U have some great options there........ best for the time being would be Pondicherry which can be both economical and peaceful. But u could also try the beautiful untouched amazing beachs on the east coast road. But i would advise do not take off alone or as a couple.....its pretty dangerous in an unknown territory. As a family or a group of friends u can have more fun and a very pleasant day. U could also go to Mahabalipuram.... but it too crowded.
If nothing works....... ur home is or can be made the most peaceful place on the whole damn earth.

You can select any place in the stretch of 150 Kms on the East coast road from Chennai through Muttukadu,Mahabalipuram, Marakkanam to Puduchery(Pondichery) to suit your budget.
