This is merely caused by the unsteady electrical field that a young test-tube alien generates. What you need to be very careful of is that you don't place the test-tube near any electrical appliances - especially those with an RF frequency, as the unsteady electrical field generated by the alien can really mess up your computer.

I'd check it after 28 days. The electrical field should have stabilized enough for you to be able to handle it without risk of injury. Don't leave it in too long or it could die.
