I'm married and I believe that what is mine is my husband's and what's my husband's is mine. We have a joint checking and a savings account. Here we both deposit our paychecks and from there we pay the bills of the house. If you are married that is the way to go. If you are on your own, you should pay your own bills not your father or boyfriend. If you can't pay for it, then you probably shouldn't have it.

I don't have a cell phone --- cel phones are evil --- and not worth the price.
Paying my bills ... well, the savings I had during my short, but prosperous career pay my bills, plus shelter, utilites, & some food my ex-boyfriends. Hmmm, I'm a sucker.
Why??? Because I can.

I dont have a cell-phone but if I did, my husband would pay for mine, becuase right now I am on leave from work, due to a back injury.

i am in high school and i pay for half of my cell phone bill. my dad pays for the rest. when i go to college, he will stop and i will have to pay for it myself. you shouldnt make the assumption that all females are helpless and don't pay their own bills, a lot of women are very independent.

All I have to say is......if you're a woman looking for equal respect, don't make a life out of relying on men paying for things. Maybe the 1st couple of dates with a guy, but that's it, eh.

What's up with the assumption that women aren't financially independant. It's 2007, kid. A vast majority of us are. Wait until you get out in the real world .... you'll figure the whole feminism thing out sooner or later - and you'll be the better for it.

I pay my own bills, and any that are mutual bills between my boyfriend and myself (like the mortgage or cable bills) we split evenly.
