No.
Here are the generally accepted meanings of SUB DIVISION:

1. the act or fact of subdividing.
2. a product of subdividing, as a section of a department.
3. a portion of land divided into lots for real-estate development

And here are the meanings for FLEET:

1. the largest organized unit of naval ships grouped for tactical or other purposes.
2. the largest organization of warships under the command of a single officer.
3. a number of naval vessels or vessels carrying armed crew members.
4. a large group of ships, airplanes, trucks, etc., operated by a single company or under the same ownership: He owns a fleet of cabs.
5. a large group of airplanes, automobiles, etc., moving or operating together.

I can't think of any instance where the words would be interchangeable at all. Sorry!

Hmmm, I think of agile or swift when I think of fleet, as in "fleet of foot". That has nothing at all to do with subdivision, which means to divide further. So the answer is no. they don't have the same meaning.

i see what your talking about if its like war, and your taking a chunk of the army away from the rest- that makes perfect sence even though ive never heard 'subdivision' used like that, but there are other meanings for both that the other one doesnt fit at all- know what im saying? like for subdivision- that could be like a little part of the neighborhood, culdisack, neck-of-the-woods kinda, and fleet doesnt mean that at all.
