You mentioned going to the doctor for pap smears but did you tell the doctor about the itching? Typically a pap smear isn't done to diagnose an itch. Secondly, stay away from douches of all kinds! They are terrible and cause way too many problems. A woman's body has it's own mechanism for cleaning itself out so you do not want to use soap, douches, or anything else inside the body besides vaginal creams for infections. Have you recently purchased any new underwear? Panties should have a white, dye free crotch. Do you shave? What type of tissues and soaps are you using? Stay away from bath tissue made from recycled paper products. I'm allergic to many soaps but glycerin bars usually do the trick for me. Do not scratch. Scratching opens the skin for more infection. Make sure you are clean and dry at all times and sleep without underwear whenever possible. If the doctor hasn't checked you for yeast or bacterial infections, go back and get checked. In the meantime, use cornstarch (or baby powder with cornstarch) to help control the itch. Those creams work for some but actually make the itch worse for me because of the moisture on my skin.

Wow, I'm not alone. My ears itch all the time. I've used just about everything that will fit include one of those metal hook things used to clean between your teeth. My favorite is the black Skillcraft pens... I take it apart and use the rough threads....

Definitely not a good idea, though. Be really careful as it is easy to get an ear infection (even if you're not going far into the ear)... obviously, I have had several but don't learn my lesson.

No & I never will. That's just asking for trouble. Even sticking a Q-Tip into the ear canal is dangerous. If you have earwax, the Q-Tip will push the wax further into the ear canal, which may lead to hearing loss. If you have an itch deep inside the ear canal, just rub your ear with your hand.

No I have not but my grandpa would do it with a paper clip and I thought it was nasty but hey if you have an itch I guess you have to scratch it.
