do ants make good pet?

this question has evoked terrible emotions. i once had a 2000 plus collection of ants (show quality) worth many groats, one day my mate called round with his pet aarvark and while we sat drinking tea the said aardvark slipped his lead and.......well you can guess the rest,.

Ants are interesting and fun to watch... But that's all they're good for.

Ants doesn't care if you're there or not. They won't react to you, they just do their ant duty and stop for nothing.

They're more like.. A decorative pet.

Yes but there's always the risk of spilling or knocking over the ant farm. And, you can't play with them so I don't see what the point is unless you like to watch them do stuff in the colony or whatever.

ants are actually quite fun. get like a fish tank or something of the sort and fill it with diffrent layers of sand then antnap a nest and shove them in the tank (make shore u have the queen and the male and you can create your own generation !!!

They're interesting, but make sure you have purpose built accommodation as they are a pain if they get loose.
