Why do Belgium and Germany have the same colours on their flags?

no the colors black red and yellow are in this case the colors of the old dutchy of Brabant and the flag was first used in 1830 in Brussels. In fact the first Belgium flags where with horizontal stripes ( red , at the top, yellow, black ) but in 1831 this was changed into the flag that we all know
