How long can you wait before taking Plan B to prevent pregnancy?...also is there any way that ovulation could have been postponed up to a week late?

Plan B is only effective during the first 72 hours after intercourse. Ovulation generally occurs 14 days after the first day of your period, but this, as many things, differ among women.

Women are "supposed" to ovulate on day 14 of their cycle (day one is the first day of your period). But, women have been known to ovulate on *any* day of their cycle - so it's possible that you ovulated on day 21.
