I mean that's more important than why Barry Bonds is hitting homeruns.... If they have time to worry about baseball then they can make a BCS playoff system.

I don't think it's the place of the U.S. Congress to intervene in baseball about their drug testing and steroids use nor is it right to intervene with the NCAA's decision on determining a national champion.

No, the steroids issue was a legal issue - steroid use is against the law. The BCS is just business taking precedent over the good of the sport.

If Congress has to step in to fix every flaw in major sporting leagues, that sets a bad precedent - where do you draw the line? Can Congress step in and mandate terms of CBAs when players and owners are negotiating? Can Congress dictate at-large bids to tournaments to teams they feel were slighted? Can Congress overturn a win or a loss because they feel the officials made a crucial bad call at the end of a game?

It seems the government can do whatever they want.

I don't think it will happen because it seems whoever is making the decisions makes entirely too much money off of this setup to change it. It is unfortunate.

No and you shouldn't repeat questions that are already up and only about 5-6 questions down.

That will probably be what it takes, to get a playoff.
