I breed guppies till this day and let me tell u its a mystery of when shes gunna have her babies it all depends on the water quality and the temperature. when the mother is stressed at any time she might loss the babies, so dont scare her.Give her high protien foods from the pet store, and wide varieties of live food like baby shrimp(when the shrimp are hatched thats when they are most nutritious after the first hour they have no nutritious value.)giving the mother thesefoods and keeping the water in good condition and not scaring her i would think it would take about 3 to 4 weeks to give birth. how you can tell the mother is ready: 1.she swims alone in the corner trying to keep away from the other adults.2. labored breathing. 3. her stomach is kind of square shaped. 4. where the end of the stomach ends and where the fin starts in between is where u see her vagina looks like a tube ,when it comes down shaped like a u she is begining to have contractions and u will see her wiggle when she has them. it takes about 5 to 10 minutes to have each baby and they have an average of 30 babys depending on the size of the mother. i hope that is good enought information for you good luck.

This depends on the temperature of the water, but is typically between 3-4 weeks.
