Front calipers have what either appears to be a plug or the bleeder port broke off both sides. What can I do to bleed them. It is a 1990 Ford Tempo.

If you choose to drill and re-tap the old calipers for new bleeder valves you should remove the piston from the caliper, clean it with fine silicon carbide paper and clean the bored piston hole in the caliper and clean everything with brake fluid. Now it's time to by an overhaul kit for the caliper. * Stop before you start*. Its cheaper to buy a rebuilt one with a warranty. As every one else has said go for the rebuilt one. If your not sure your getting a good deal price a new one from Ford! They won't even have one. They'll call a local parts store and dump on a re-built one.

Well other then replacing both calipers you can repair them and replace the bleeders.
You can get these replacement nipples from the auto parts store. You will have to remove the calipers , drill out the old nipples and then retap the nipple hole.
Other then that there is no easy way to bleed the nipples and the air out.

take the caliper off and tunr it so the flex line is right at the top and crack it lose till the air is gone or replace the caliper, they are relativly cheap, you could try drilling the bleeders out but after wasting lots of time you will probably buy the replacements anyways

well you can bleed them where the hose connects to the caliper but it's not going to be nearly as effective. You can probably get calipers pretty darn cheap for that 90 tempo though.gravity bleed them, just put some penatrating oil on it and let it set in before trying to loosten them.

Replace the calipers. They are very cheap and not worth trying to repair. Why do you need to bleed them???
