12 women
10 guys

only 21 people in all (one was a gf that transitioned into a bf, so counts in both columns).

Of course, I'm in my 50's, so I've had more time than most to meet people.

Is there a double standard. Sad, but yes. Nothing as bad as when I was younger, but still there. Though some males are cruder and more vocal than females, females are more judgemental of there fellow women on the subject.

Personally I don't think there is a double standard, I mean if I meet a guy and he has been with like 10 people and he is only 20 then that will drive me away. The double standard part only applies when guys are talking to other guys. If hes been with allot of girls then he is a 'player' but if a girl has been with allot of people then she is a sul*. I think that by the age of 30 the acceptable amount would be around 10-15 and that's not being to choosy. And sorry but I'm not going to reveal on the Internet how many partners I have had.

I just turned thirty and I have only had two partners. I was a virgin until I was 26 years old. I kept waiting for that special person. I guess that I am way below the average for a person my age but I don't really want to have sex with just anyone, I want to make sure that they care about me and don't have any funky diseases.

Of course there is a double standard! If you were a guy, you could go out and have as much sex as you wanted with as many people you wanted and no one would say a thing. If you are a girl and do the same thing, you are just a whore. It's not fair but what are we going to do about it?

According to the US Dept of Health and Human services, the average person has 3-5 serious relationships before a permanent one. That does not include the casual flings, one night stands, and "friends without benefits". If you are talking about sexual trysts alone, that number can go all over the charts....

Well according to the poll conducted for ( I think it was Vanity Fair or Cosmo) the average for women is 5 sexual pardners in todays society. It didn't state the average for men, but I'm sure that it is higher for men. Is there a double standard Yes, you know it. Women are whores, hoes, sluts etc. and the Men are studs, experianced, etc.
As for my average, that privledged information, so I'll keep it to myself

don't know about average or acceptable. i've had 9 male partners and two females, and have "messed around" with more guys (no more than 9 of those, one of which was the male to a little three-some, whom i didn't have sex with and therefore didn't include in the first number)

is this too much information??

No double standard..women are entitle to have fun too if they want. but I don't believe in divorces. So have all your fun before you get married. I won't state here what my score is on how many partners but you can email me in private if it is that important to know.

Probably close to 100 guys but that didn't include bumm stuff sometimes.

I'd say 100 or more, but I chalk that up to doing my part for charity work.
