i am always saying look for the beuaty within but i dont know about the rest of the culture since i tried to date people who where less fortunate than me and i got smacked in the face mentally. i notice a lot of shallowness in the world from people who are not perfect too is it really worth being that way?

First off, I don't think you're shallow at all. You are a beautiful person and you know it!!!
Everyone has their own definition of beauty and I don't think anyones is wrong.
It just means that we're all different and we are attracted to different people. That is a good thing because it ensures the continuation of the human race at some leval.
Go ahead and date the people that you feel attracted to and leave the ones that you consider less fortunate to those who dig them.

I dont believe being shallow is a choice. And nobody is perfect so that isnt an issue. I sense 'shallow' makes life less stressful, easier.

shallow people come with differnet faces. If you ask me, there are many more shallow people than not, but I don't think you can consciously chose to be one wasy or another....really. You can pretend, but you are the way you are....so is it worth it? I think it's worth to go with your gut (and heart). and if those people slapped you in the face mentally, maybe the inner beauty you thought was there actually wasn't.

Being shallow will ultimately lead to the destruction of one's 'inner self'. It stems from wanting acceptance and thus following the crowd, and in turn, ridiculing others because they are different or believe something different.

NOBODY is perfect. I also think the world is full of arrogant asses but what do you do? You stay away from them- people that place too much on physical things really aren't worth being around.

being shallow is bad. it means you only care about money and objects and the way people look at all that stuff.... why would u want to be that way?
