i decided to write that note to my Father w/ a Sharpie. i was nearly done, when i read on my Sharpie the following: "NOT FOR LETTER WRITING!" i then re-wrote the message using only numbers, but the note doesn't convey what i really meant to say with letters. please advise! thanks to all the pencil pushers! you were right!

You should give him the message with letters. I promise no Sharpie police will come arrest you for the offense.

LOL! How Funny!! Really as long as we are paying our own good money for a Sharpie, I don't think that it is any of their business what we use it for!

use semaphore and avoid the whole writing thing altogether. (you know, waving flags around...)
or you could use the sharpie to tap out the message in morse code.
