The past two months I have been having intense pain while having sex with my fiance. It also gets extremely wet down there. I used to get wet enough to make it not hurt but now It's just ridiculous. I find it really embarrassing. We don't use condoms and I'm on birth control. I can't go to the GYN because my health insurance ran out this month. Does anyone know what this could possibly be? I'm starting to just avoid having sex because I don't enjoy it anymore :(

About two years ago I started developing major pain while having sex and also getting extremely lubricated. I found out that I had endometriosis. I was having pain deep inside of my vagina and I also started to avoid it as well. I was put on a different hormone - you may need to stop that current brand of birth control.... and it helped. I have since had a hysterectomy and it has improved - not 100% but at least I am able to enjoy intercourse again. Since your health insurance ran out I would see about going to a community clinic. I would advise you seeing a dr as it could be something as simple as switching birth control pills or somethign more serious like what I had..... Hopefully I helped you and if you have any more questions feel free to e-mail me.... :)
I just saw what you wrote about your bladder being weak, again I had that problem and also had that problem during a pelvic inflammatory disease - I would see a dr soon to be sure....

I know it's embarrassing to ask about. I had exactly the same problem, and it still happens occasionally. You may have vaginismus (sp?), a condition where you are tensing up. It's more likely to happen if you'd had something bad happen to you related to sex, and once it starts, it's more likely to happen again, just because you're afraid. I went to a gynecologist, and he prescribed a strange (to me) treatment: candles. Start with a thin candle, insert it, and hold it in place for 15 minutes twice daily. Tense up and relax during this time. After 2 weeks, pick a larger candle, and do the same thing. Gradually work your way up until you're satisfied with the size. Your partner has to be pretty understanding, because that's out of the question until the treatment is done. Good luck.

dont care how much it costs. get your butt into a doctor mmmmwell what could it be get diagnosed over the comp not a good idea. I told the doc many times it hurt during intercourse if he would of done something about it when i first mentioned it i would of found out what was wrong and i would of not gone through 10 years of mental and physical pain. Get it fixed if yu dont it will only cause a pile of unnessary pain and misery in your life and your partners life.. I IMPLORE YOU TO GO AND SEE A DOCTOR NOW . NO MORE PROCRASTINATION GO.PRONTO. NOT TOMORROW. KNOW. GO GO GO.

UTI- urinary tract infection or a bladder infection you should go to a doctor to have this checked out. Try practicing safe sex also your partner can pass germs not to say that you or your partner have a STD but if there is any typed of bacterial infection it can only cause more problems for you. Also slowing down (the motions) your sexual activities may help a little.

It's possible that you could be on progestin-only birth control, which could cause you to lose elasticity in your vagina. It happened to me when I was on Depo-Provera (progestin-only shot), and it only got worse over time. Check your birth control. If it doesn't have estrogen in it, this could be the problem, and would be easily remedied by changing your pill.
Also, the others could be right about a UTI. They do sell home test kits for these if you want to check that out before going to see a doctor.

Sounds like you should go to the local health clinic for help. It could be endometriosis if you have other symptoms. Your bladder may be sagging causing pressure in the reproduction area, causing pain and bladder leakage. Please don't ignore the problem, financial assistance is available.

Sound similar to a problem my wife had. Was fiborous tumors on her ovary. They were not dangerous or life threating. She did have to have them removed however. Do you find your menstrual flow is also much heavier?
