Yes, keeping a good eye contact will boost your self-esteem and inspire others to have confidence in you. But don't stare too long...glance away thoughfully from moment to moment or else you will look like a zombie and that will just be scary.

Eye contact is one of the most important things I believe. I have been told that "eye contact is the window to the soul".
In addition in a work environment it is concidered respectful because the person would believe you are attentive, even if it is not direct eye contact but you are looking at their face and that is important.
As my girlfriends have said they have more respect for men if they look in their eyes or at their face instead of their body. (hope this helps)

without a doubt. eye contact is important becuase it shows that you are confident and paying attention to what the other person is saying,plus is nice to look at those girls pretty eyes!! Lol

I'm not for eye contact. It means someone is being invasive; invading your space. Mild eye contact is OK I guess.
