First let me say I am black but my step-dad who I love dearly is white so please don’t put what I am saying and the question that I am asking down to some anti-white thing! So let me give you some points on mental slavery, mental slavery in my eyes is much worse than physical forceful slavery. With physical slavery you have a master and a slave, master tells slave that he is his property, slave rebels! Slave gets whipped! Are you still with me? Good! So let’s move on to mental slavery. Once again you have a master and you have a slave but with mental slavery you will find that there is no whip and there is no telling the slave that he is your property. You might say to yourself “well his not a slave then” but you would be so wrong. Freedom and justice is about equal opportunity and fairness. Example Having P.diddy………50 cent….jay-z…..Oparh.. etc you would think that they would make me as a black man feel like we can all make it but these so called superstars are just a pat on the back for black people. They might be very rich but there far from very wealthy! Wealth can keep your family in a position of power for hundreds of years to come.
Hence!!! (“Let the slaves go free why not! they don’t own any land they have no money and by the time they do they won’t even know what to do with it”!).
Hence!!! MTV music videos “LOOK AT MY BIG CHAIN! LOOK AT MY B**CH!! I’M RICH B**CH!!! The fools we play!. And if you’re still not a believer in black mental slavery then holla at me I’m sure I can make you a bit more open minded on the subject.
As for now I’ll leave you with some what if questions!!!

What if slavery never happened and black people was doing just fine in Africa?

What if white people and black really didn’t see colour and love was love?

What if Jesus really was black!? (Trick question Jesus was black do your home work find out for yourself).

And before I go let me say!

Power to yellow people
Power to white people
Power to brown people
Power to BLACK people
POWER TO THE PEOPLE!!! 1love!

In case you haven't noticed, people are not that bright. What reason does a man have to hate another; because of his skin color? That's a dumb reason to hate.

As you mentioned, the wealthy have the power for generations. They are the ones running the show. They are the ones who benefit from slavery both real and mental.

It is up to those in the know to educate the ones who don't know. I

I'M BLACK!! and i understand exactly what you are talking about. I do not agree with all of that slavery crap but a lot of white people treats us as if we are nobody and that is wrong. so see it's really as if slavery still exists. If you only knew how much black ppl get profiled, stereotyped, and discredited just because they are black then you would understand why some blks feel that way. 4 white dudes can ride around in the car and shoot all of the cats in the neighborhood with a pellet gun and never get pulled over. if the cops see or more black guys in a car, they must be selling drugs or going to rob someone,so they get pulled over. this is what happens on a daily basis in the black community and that is why we react the way we do to whites. if white people can accept that we are different with different cultural backgrounds and we are not like them culturally then maybe we as AMERICANS can move on and have a better society. when you are negative to someone they will also be negative towards you. if more black people saw more accepting white people then they would not blame you guys for everything in the past. I don't.

Mental slavery WILL exist until we stop drawing so much attention to color.

Black pride week and black history month in the school system may have seemed a good idea a decade ago but all it does is incite more racial inequality. What about the Chinese that worked as slaves putting in the railroads? What about the Irish who came over as indentured servants and never worked their ways free? We don't afford those poor souls the same respect and honor generations down the road.

All those who have ancestors who sacrificed, willingly or unwillingly, for the following generations are worthy of praise, and their great-grandchildren should know their histories, but they shouldn't have that background pounded into their heads until they feel THEY have suffered as well! That's what incites gangs and intolerance at numerous levels.

If the schools came up with "history months" for each of the nationalities that have been treated wrongly over the centuries, children would have to go to school year-round. Once we put to rest the idea that we have to point out how successful or intelligent or wonderful a person is by prefacing it with the color of their skin (and mind you, a person can be 7/8th white and 1/8th black but still be considered "black"), then we can begin working on true equality.

You're right. A lot of blacks don't realize that mainstream hip hop is basically a modern day menstrel show with the rich white guys who own the record labels, etc. laughing all the way to the bank. We're just a pawn in their game to get rich.

And yeah... about Jesus... I don't know if he was black like me. But, he damn sure wasn't that blonde blue eyed guy in all the pictures!

Nobody can give you answers to your dilemma, this is something you will have explore and work out for yourself.

BUT, you mentioned Blacks who are currently very rich. They are first generation rich. If they have kids and grandkids, with a little guidance, they will also be rich. there is a whole section outside of Baltimore inhabited by rich Blacks. This is not new money. Give it time and what you call rich will develop into what you call wealth.

And I do not believe Jesus was black, but definitely not blond! He was semitic, so he probably was olive complected. If you want a Black Biblical person, talk about the Queen of Sheba. Chances are almost nil that she was light-skinned

What you ask would require Black people to quit being victims and to start acting responsible for the here and now. The problem is that the black leaders want blacks to not be equal, but rather be treated as if blacks were owed something from 140 years ago that hasn't been given to them. It is sad but maybe if the black leaders quit whining about racism and started actually leading the people instead of only the black people, then the slavery issue would be put to rest, But until then most of the black community (not the white community) seems unwilling to let go of the crutch of slavery. Unfortunately, most black Americans that I've met would rather be treated as if anything that wasn't given to them for free is because whitey is racist rather than because they didn't earn it!

My family came to America as Indentured Servants 40 years after the blacks were freed, but you don't hear Italians whining about being owed 40 acres and a mule a century later. No; We quietly went out and earned our livelihoods and our respect.

I absolutely agree with your statements and think your question is a critical one for all Americans to deal with, even the white ones! The victim role is even perpetuated and made worse by the Democrats who use the blacks only for votes, then ignore them until the next election. The lack of quality education that is given in our school systems feeds the victim role even further. Worst is the attitude of the blacks that seem to think that if the White man is teaching it, then it must be wrong or that he can't force it on me, as if education wasn't up to the recipient to learn

Thank You for asking it! Vote the Dems and Republicans out of office! Vote Libertarian!!!

give it time,
it's only been 30-40 years since the sixties.

our children will not be amused, by the same things we are.
we have a way better platform now then ever before.
and the Internet wasn't around when we were kids.
the future world will not be as big as our world was.
education is the key
educate yours and teach them to educate others.

i'v listened to jesse jacksons radio show the last couple of weeks and found it awesome and inspiring how much directed proaction is going on... check it out for yourself. It is for real and it is NOT religious. Its about working within the system to make real long term transitions in the black communities.

Well, I have to say that that does not really make sense, by your hypothesis all white people should be wealthy then right?

If you think that the white man keeps blacks down, then why are there poor white people.

Everyone must decide on their own to be successful or not no matter their race.
