I just had a Compaq Presario 5000 XP given to me, and apparently the guy said that he just unhooked it from the internet. However, when I hooked it up, I have a blank screen, the green light does come on the monitor but makes a clicking noise after about 2 seconds and turns yellow. In addiction to that, the number lock light on the keyboard flashes off and on. I know for sure it is in the tower, cause I hooked it up to a good system and get the same results. I tried to press F8 as well on start up to have it go in safe mode, but nothing works. I must add too that the light on the front of the tower does stay green during the whole time.
