Touching any part of a police officer is grounds for you to be arrested for assaulting a peace officer. I think he would chase you for that.

being a policemans son and knowing my dad he would chase u and of course chatch u but he would probaly just tell u to respect ur elders anyways why would u want to knock off a policmans hat anyways there here to help u and u shouldnt treat them that way

Yes! (Well in the UK any way). It would be at least assault, possibly battery. That is one big fine and possibly 5 years inside. yup he (or she) would chase you.
